COATINGS
Beam dividers
If the light beam incident on a surface is not to be divided into different wavelength ranges, but into rays of the same wavelength, beam splitter coatings are used.
It is distinguished whether the resulting partial beams differ in intensity or polarization direction.
By polarization
Unpolarized radiation is divided into rays of different polarization. For reflected radiation, the electric field oscillates perpendicular to the plane of incidence (s- polarisation), for transmitted radiation parallel to it (p polarization).

By intensity
Incident radiation is divided into rays of varying intensity.
By intensity, non-polarizing
Same as "by intensity", however, the intensities for rays of different polarization are as closely as possible, means the intensity of incident light rays of different polarization remain as far as possible.
